Summary

Mateless. Dead. The Heir of Darkness was supposed to be a thing of the past, a dark stain on Lahkia's otherwise peaceful history. Now, ten generations later, young Azura is eavesdropping on a secret meeting among Lahkia's leaders and she's hearing some strange things. Something called a Saghki exists, and someone who calls himself the Heir of Darkness is leading them. Whoever he is, whatever Saghki are, they're demanding that Lahkia turn over 500 children from each territory or face the consequences. Azura must learn to use her instincts, trust in unexpected friendships, and believe in herself as she strives to unearth the Heir's identity and save Lahkia from falling into a terrible war.
