Summary
Two hundred years ago the walled kingdom of Olvion was
attacked by a horde of brutal sub-humans bent on the
destruction of mankind. Just when all appeared to be lost a
mysterious giant of a man appeared and inspired the people to
victory. No one knows what became of him but the citizens of
Olvion named this mysterious man "The Legend". Jack Taggart awakens from a surgical procedure naked and
alone in a strange and exotic world. Alone, hungry and
doubting his own sanity he is befriended by a wonderful
little animal that communicates with him via telepathically
projected images and emotions. Taggart names his new friend
"Tinker" and she becomes his guide in the strange new world.
But Tinker is on a mission and she recruits Taggart to aid in
that task. The two undertake a journey which crosses the
paths of a beautiful woman, a king and the many noble male
and female warriors of Olvion. When a second invasion of the "Grey Horde" begins Taggart,
aided by Tinker, uses his unusual size and strength to aid
the human defenders in halting the advance of the murderous
beasts. As Taggart's combat successes mount many in the
kingdom of Olvion proclaim him to be "The Legend", returned
as predicted in the ancient writings and stories. Is he? Or
does Jack Taggart have another role to play?
